New iPhone will be able to open garage doors and more

Apple’s new iPhone 5 is rumored to be equipped with a new operating system which will enable the phone to open garage doors, front doors, pay parking meters, and more. Though it has not be confirmed with Apple, the company has been working with near field communication since last year to have the iPhone function as an electronic key and work with household devices.

This is only the tip of the iceberg for Apple. The company plans on making all iPhones compatible with all wireless technology. Apple wants to turn the iPhone into an electronic wallet, which would require the operating system to work on any wireless network.
