Teenager targets garage door opener, luxury vehicles in crime spree

A teenager in Kitchener targeted garage door openers and luxury cars in a crime spree that took place last fall.

According to court documents, the teenager, along with three adult accomplices, broke into so many homes and vehicles that it took police officials nearly 90 minutes to read all of the charges and crime facts.

The teenager, 16 at the time, broke into high-end vehicles in order to get garage door openers. He would then get into home through unlocked garage doors while residents of the home were sleeping. He stole cash, electronics, and vehicles after getting the car keys from inside the home.
