League City sees spike in burglaries

League City police are currently investigating an increase in burglaries that have occurred recently in homes and convenient stores in the area.

Police have warned residents in the area that they need to lock their cars and make sure to keep their garage doors locked. Keeping your garage locked is not only a good idea for your belongings, but also for keeping your home protected.  In the past five days in the League City area, there has been 16 burglaries.

Police have arrested a juvenile and an 18-year-old in connection to three of the burglaries. They are both accused of stealing electronics and jewelry. Thousands of dollars in cash and cigarettes were stolen from on convenient store.
