Home building continues despite economy

Belvedere, a luxury home building company, says that they expect Austin’s real estate and home building markets to grow in 2011, despite economic concerns.  For the past two years, officials from Belvedere say that custom home builders have not been working as much as they did before the recession.

However, Belvedere alone has 9 new custom homes in the design and construction stages near Hamilton Pool.  “Even with the foreclosure crisis and a national downturn in the housing market, our research shows the Austin area to be the strongest housing market in the entire country,” said Belvedere developer Joel H. Robuck.
