Cowart Door Systems Donates Garage Door Opener to Austin Fairy Godmother Foundation

The Austin garage door experts of Cowart Door Systems recently donated a LiftMaster 8550 belt drive garage door opener with DC motor and battery backup to the Austin Fairy Godmother’s Royal Black and White Ball Silent Auction. This product, which sells for hundreds of dollars in retail, is a state of the art garage door system, with features such as a battery backup for continued use in case of power outages and a remote accessibility feature that allows the door to be opened or closed with a smartphone or computer from anywhere in the world.

The Austin Fairy Godmother Foundation provides formal attire to disadvantaged young women throughout the Central Texas area who might not otherwise be able to afford clothing for events, such as prom, homecoming, and other formal occasions. Their annual Royal Black and White Ball helps provide the much-needed funds for operations, as the Silent Auction helps to raise the money necessary to continue updating their clothing selection, allowing them to meet the needs of young women throughout the area.
