Cowart Door Systems offers a wide range of door designs and features to complement the architectural style of nearly every home. Below is a brief description of the various door constructions. We believe a garage door should offer long term value and functionality. For that reason, all standard residential garage doors are specified with:

• Torsion springs for durability & safety
• Galvanized torsion tubes
• 14 gauge hinges
• Steel rollers with 10 ball bearings for durability & nylon tires for quiet operation
• Heavy duty track.
• Amarr standard doors use proprietary hinges and a pinch resistant section design

We offer doors from CHI and Amarr as standard and can supply other manufacturer's doors as available.

Non-Insulated Doors ("pan doors")

We offer 24 gauge non-insulated doors as standard. This is the same metal thickness as is used for commercial doors and is far stronger and more durable than builder grade pan doors.

Doors are available in two designs: long raised panel or short raised panel and in several color options.

Insulated "Sandwich" Door

Cowart Door Systems offers the sandwich steel backed door as standard. This door is available in short raised panel, long raised panel and flush configurations. Polystyrene or Polyurethane insulation is fully adhered to the steel interior and exterior surfaces. R-Values range from 8.0 to 14.0.

Composite Doors

Cowart now offers Jeld-Wen composite doors. They offer the look and feel of wood with lower maintenance. These doors are constructed using a laminated wood frame covered with a molded wood composite outer skin. Jeld-Wen Doors are available in Traditional, Estate and Carriage House designs. Environmentally friendly door sections are built from reclaimed wood materials and include polystyrene insulation.

NOTE: Jeld-Wen doors are primed (interior only) and require paint or stain finishing. We can quote finishing the doors or they can be finished by you or your contractor after installation.

Steel "Carriage House" Style Doors

Manufacturers now make steel doors with designs similar to custom wood carriage house doors. Doors are available insulated and non-insulated. These garage doors provide much of the style and distinction of a custom wood door with the low maintenance of a steel door.
